Industrial Tire was established in Buffalo, New York in 1972 by Bob Burke. Bob saw the growing need and demand for an industrial tire wholesaler in the WNY area and he began his business in a warehouse in Elma, NY. As business was growing, he expanded to a larger facility on Sonwil Road in Cheektowaga, and eventually purchased and moved into the current location in Buffalo.

Industrial Tire began as a wholesale business, mainly focusing on in-shop pressing and polyfilling tires. Because of the high demand, Bob invested in re-treading equipment for industrial tires, which quickly became a large part of the business. Industrial Tire is one of the few remaining companies in the country that specializes in industrial re-treading. More recently, Bob further expanded the business to include the ever-growing rubber tracks industry.

In 2005, Bob’s daughter Heather joined the company, initially working in sales and running the office. Heather’s knowledge and experience grew and she took over the business from her father and has been overseeing operations since 2015. Heather had a clear vision for growing the company. Her initial focus was on expanding and fine tuning the day to day operations. Increased efficiency, greater inventory and additional mobile press trucks have all contributed to less down time for our clients.

Bob still remains very active in the company. He spends his time maintaining and extending long-term business relationships and doing deliveries. Industrial Tire continues to be a supportive community business member and is proud to be part of Buffalo’s industrial resurgence and a contributor to the local economy. The WNY community is very important to our company and we always strive to provide the best products and services for our clients. We will continue to do our very best to keep you rolling, so we all can keep Buffalo running, building and moving forward.
